Elite L 20" Dark Brown 160g

I've been ordering from Tressmatch, and only here since 2013. I usually purchase the Elite 152g in Dark Brown. Most recently in 6/16. Being as I always order this shade, I was surprised to find that this shipment was much darker than my usual order. Before, it was a true dark brown color, perfect color match to my natural hair color. This time, the extensions I received were an off-black color. Not dark brown at all. I dyed my hair a shade darker (mind you, my hair is already a level 2-3 dark brown) and these extensions looked BLACK compared to my already dark hair. Thinking I was crazy, I compared it to my older ones in the same shade (bought 1 month prior, did not wash or color) and the color looked black compared to them. Maybe they darkened the shade? I was most disappointed about this.
Another thing was how thin they were at the bottom. They were super soft and shiny, and tangle free but so thin at the ends. The weft had fraying and breakage and the hair was much thinner than when I ordered the 152g Ombré Brunette/Chesnut set, looked more like 120g, and WAY more breakage, even a few days in , and I treat them very well.
As far as shedding, I bought a bleach blonde set that shed like crazy, even if just touching them multiple stands fell out. I don't notice that so much with darker shades.
The clips are WONDERFUL! Small. They hold on to hair really well, can't even feel them. But hair quality is not what it used to be, but decent for the price, I guess.

Was thinking about getting extensions and started shopping around. I didn't even want to toy with the idea of fake hair cause I wanted them for normal wear not costume. I have naturally very very dark brown hair, it looks black under lighting but in the sun it's clearly brown. I ordered thr darkest brown 20" set and the color is so incredibly close. They look great on nobody can tell they are clip ins and I have hair just above my shoulders.

I have been looking for good quality, affordable extensions for a long time. I usually ended up having to buy them at Sally’s and sew my own clips on, as that was the most affordable. Within one month of using styling tools (even with heat protection) they would frizz up, and the clips would always show. It was frustrating, as the ends on those extensions were so thin. Everyone knew I was wearing extensions, and my hair looked damaged and awful. I did research on every type of permanent and non-permanent extension type before ordering these. Most permanent ways seemed too expensive and invasive, and I couldn’t risk more damage to my hair. I knew these were thicker and heavier quality, but I never knew how great they would be. I order the 20” dark brown extensions. The color was perfect for me, but it is a little more reddish tone. I love, love these extensions! They are amazing quality the whole shaft through. I got the 20” and cut them and inch or so to make them look my natural hair. By doing so, the ends where really thick and I had room to make mistakes or layer if need be. I would recommend doing that if you need to cut, color, or you are going to be using heat on the hair, as this will allow the ends to be thicker. Overall, some of the greatest hair extensions I have ever seen. I used them for my sister’s wedding the other day and I got so many compliments and no one even knew it was not my real hair. The clips were great and a lot smaller. I would recommend these extensions to everyone, and now I know I will have long hair until mine grows out!

Since I switched to using clip ins last year, I've bought three sets of this from Tressmatch. I would say the overall quality is superb for its hair thickness, hair quality, clips and responsive customer service. 30 day return policy is really good. The first two sets I bought from this company had too many tiny wefts, which I don't like. Fortunately they told me they've replaced with two 4 inch wide wefts. That's good news. Shopping real quality clip in hair is hard online these days. All are labeled remy hair, but pricing varies from 20 bucks to hundreds of bucks. But eventually you'll find you always get what you paid for.
